Join me next summer for a Magical Week at the Beach! We will be on my home turf at the Outer Banks of North Carolina for a relaxing yet exciting adventure filled with beauty and a wide variety of wildlife. This trip runs from June 13 – 18, 2027, just before the busy summer season begins.
The Outer Banks is known for its pristine beaches and abundant bird life, but it also has a well-kept secret. On the nearby mainland is a National Wildlife Refuge that has one of the highest concentrations of Black Bear in the world. They roam this large 150,000 acre Refuge. While they can be shy and elusive, we hope to see mothers and cubs, and older bears as well.
But that is just part of the excitement. We will go in search of many species of birds including Osprey with babies, Pelicans, Cormorants, Egrets, Great Blue Herons, Skimmers, and more.
And we will also photograph sunrises and sunsets, lighthouses, a fishing village, and the ocean in its many moods.
As time allows at mid-day, we will have image review sessions, and informative teaching sessions.
And as with all my trips, I will treat you to a surprise or two!
To top it all off, we will be staying at a lovely waterfront Inn, beautifully appointed, located on the quiet waters of the bay. Lodging is not included in the tour fee, but special rates have been arranged.
